Not So Great Expectations!

Please don’t get misguided, this is not a sequel to the most sophisticated written novels by Charles Dickens but I am trying to figure out the rise of word EXPECT. It was never in my mind to write something, as a matter of fact anything related to the word EXPECT until recently. Since couple of days I am suffering from common cold and had symptoms of RTI, these days you will find every other person infested and exercising the RTI (Right to Information) but that’s not what I am referring to.

I had the other RTI (Respiratory Track Infection) and on the medicine bottle it mentioned a brand name as an expectorant. That’s when I thought of typing out my phlegm, I mean thoughts with regards to the word EXPECT. Dictionary meaning of the word expectorant is “promoting the discharge of phlegm or other fluid from the respiratory tract” but for me word EXPECT means uncertainty.

When we EXPECT we are not 100% sure and in today’s world everyone is doing nothing but expecting. In a developed country like ours, parents expect they should have a boy child over a girl child as more is expected out that unexpected outcome which is yet to be born – no wonder they are called as expected parents.

In today’s uncertain times, government expects the changed investment policies and similar strategies can act as an expectorant to revive economy. But we all forget or may be we don’t want to say it out loud, with or without medicines common cold stays for 7 days maybe same applies to this recession period.

Our country’s newly found love is moral policing, these gentlemen presume that they are the ultimate guardian of humanity and expect today’s open minded generation to be more disciplined and culturally aware which is not wrong but that doesn’t give them the RTI (Right To Insult), beat up or humiliate anyone. Hey speaking of newly found love shouldn’t we expect them to celebrate Valentine day.

Let’s do some expectation exercise at a global level - sometimes I astonish myself by reading newspaper. Recently, I read UCLA researchers scored over CIA and spy planes by projecting hideout location of Osama and it is expected that he would be in that area. Only if the word expect isn’t exercised that often the world would have been a better place, note this is just an expectation.

Leave alone humans, even god exercises the E word and we find it written in all the holy books. As human we are expected to do laundry list of things and follow the path of righteousness. Some times I feel, only if he (the One) hadn’t exercised, the EXPECT condition - never would have arose the need to develop an EXPECTORANT.

Oops it’s about time to take my expectorant…

When we associate with different set of people on daily basis coming in all sizes and shapes with unlike mentality, we call them friends. We become friends with a person because of the qualities we find in them suites our temperament and we term it as “sharing same frequency or the same chemistry”, but there are also differences. The key to open up the world of friendship is not only to expand on similarities but is also to embrace those differences without judging them.

We are always told to develop a good friend circle and formation of this circle totally depends on each one of us if we understand the precincts of it. Every individual looks forward to receive respect even in friendship and harsh moments are to be forgiven and forgotten to sustain this relation.

This blog didn’t take several hours of thinking nor is it an imaginary story but is closely associated to my heart that speaks about my experience – my introduction to term FRIENDS and more.

Alike friends the hang-out place where they meet, where they share common interests play important role. Year after year to fulfill that commitment of meeting at a designated place, sharp at a given time also holds the key to such relationships. Well, they might just meet to pull each other’s leg or maybe to enjoy company but this meeting place aka “KATTA”, only if it could speak can narrate never-ending story of friends and their stunts.

This blog is dedicated to all my Katta friends who now, are deeply engrossed in their daily chores unable to find time just to say ‘Hi’ … cheers to those friends and their friendship for gifting such fond memories...

The Divine Proportion

Human body epitome of The Divine Proportion ranges in all types of shapes, colors and forms. Tall & Big, Short & Slim, Weak & Strong, Black & White hmmm and also Brown. But what mesmerizes me is the source they evolve from (human or any other kind) a single minuscule SPERM. Most ancient and the first ever microchip that was built with loads of information and actions stored within. The amount of data stored in that single sperm is just mind-boggling. All the body functions, actions, movements and the data related to formation of one’s structure are amassed in that very SPERM.

This single SPERM has all the sequences stored in it and every human body develops according to the data programmed within. We start developing with hands and limbs but as growth progresses intricate details start taking shape. The best thing that has happened with human body is The Divine Proportion. This is my favorite part (Ref: The DaVinci Code) - amazingly human body is made up of building blocks whose proportional ratio always equals to PHI (1.618 - the divine number). For example, take a measuring tape and measure yourself from tip of head to toe finger and then divide that distance from your belly button to the toe finger, to your surprise the answer you get is 1.618 and this is true for any body part of ours like hip to floor divided by knee to floor, shoulder to finger tip divided by elbow to finger tip, spinal division, finger joints almost whole body is a walking tribute to The Divine Proportion.

Connect I want to establish is we can definably relate this phenomenon to modern world technological wonder that is said to be Microchip and Microprocessors, so what do they do? Store data, information, actions and sequences programmed by people like you and me. For a layman Bill Gates has always been the paramount of the IT revolution but have you ever thought of acknowledging the real programmer, the mastermind behind programming the universe. The development of small and intricate facts that supports overall functioning of a human body, actions that makes us think and relate to the impulses we get from our surrounding is just flawless programming for me.

I have always imagined about the configuration of this magnificent program called Human Body. Although, science has answered almost every query related to our body but its hard to find an explanations like why, how and who came up with the idea of The Divine Proportion and where could be the development center of this ultimate code……still remains unanswered.
